I oppose oppressive regimes anywhere in the world. But I also oppose the dangerous idea that powerful nations can decide who leads another sovereign country.
When leaders like Donald Trump speak as though the United States should determine Iran’s next leader, it raises a serious global concern.
Regime change imposed from outside is not democracy.
It is power politics.
The future of Iran must be decided by Iranians, not by Washington.
Sovereignty must remain a principle, not a convenience.
