Dear Nigerians: Trump is not coming to save Nigeria. No foreign leader will. The U.S. has deep interests here—investments, trade, diaspora, and a massive tech-connected youth market. They won’t allow Nigeria to collapse into chaos like Sudan or Somalia because the global shock would be enormous. But preventing collapse isn’t the same as building a great nation. Stability protects their interests. Transformation must come from Nigerians.
