2027 Elections Won’t Be 100% Perfect, INEC Chair Warns.
Independent National Electoral Commission Chairman Prof. Joash Amupitan says the commission can electronically transmit results in 2027 but cannot guarantee a “100% perfect election.”
Speaking at a citizens’ town hall, he urged Nigerians to manage expectations while assuring transparency. Amupitan noted INEC contributed to shaping the Electoral Act 2026 & advocated mandatory electronic transmission during legislative deliberations.
