So the story goes that Idi Amin once woke up with one of those “big ideas” that only dictators have at 3am. He called an emergency cabinet meeting. No agenda. No warning. Just vibes and danger.

When all the ministers arrived, sweating and confused, Amin stood up and said with full confidence:
“Gentlemen, I have decided. From today, Uganda will change its name… to IDI.”
