The story of the Transfiguration provides hope for all professing Christians. It is the vision that all of us who accept Jesus’s call to discipleship hope to witness. We will either see Jesus in His glory when we stand in judgment before God’s throne with Jesus as our Advocate, or if He comes before we die, we see Him in all His transfigured glory at the time of His Second Coming. The hope of this vision should give us the confidence to cry out: “Come, Lord, your servant is waiting!”
