This powerful photograph captures Alhaja Ajiun Alabi-Isama alongside Colonel Benjamin Adekunle in Port Harcourt in 1969, during the height of the Nigerian Civil War. She was the mother of Lt. Colonel Godwin Alabi-Isama, who was then serving as Chief of Staff to Colonel Adekunle in the 3rd Marine Commando Division.
