Media reports claim that Afghanistan carried out airstrikes on alleged nuclear-related sites in Islamabad and other areas of Pakistan, with local sources reporting heavy casualties in the capital.

The strikes were reportedly in response to overnight Pakistani air raids on Kabul, Kandahar, and Paktia, as clashes escalated. Reports claim at least 55 Pakistani soldiers and 133 Taliban fighters were killed.
