This story of Jeroboam in 1 kings 12 is so detailed and I learnt so much, things that we need to apply in our everyday.
So king Solomon had departed from God's directives serving strange gods introduced to him by his many foreign wives.

Hence God told him that he had lost the security of continuity of his generation on the throne as earlier promised by God to his father David due to his utter disregard for what brings God pleasure.
So story continues....
