Bola Tinubu has removed Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun from office and replaced him with Tunji Disu, an Assistant Inspector General.
Egbetokun was reportedly asked to resign during a meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. He was appointed as the 22nd IGP on June 19, 2023, with his position later confirmed by the Nigeria Police Council.
