OPINION:
So the Aso Rock Villa — the official residence of the President — is allegedly withdrawing from the national grid?
The same national grid that over 200 million Nigerians depend on…
is apparently not reliable enough for the seat of power.
If Aso Rock goes off-grid for Solar alternative, what becomes the fate of ordinary Nigerians in terms of supply?
What do you think this decision really says about Nigeria’s energy future?

Emmanuel Arinze Chukwuebuka: This raises two uncomfortable possibilities.
Either:
- There is zero confidence in Nigeria’s power infrastructure.
Or
- There is no urgency to fix what leaders themselves don’t rely on.
