STATE POLICING

Nigeria’s insecurity keeps getting worse, yet the push for state police is still crawling. Everyone can see that local policing would respond faster and protect communities better. The only people resisting it are those who benefit from a centralised system that doesn’t serve ordinary citizens.

At some point, we have to say it plainly: lives are at stake, and delay is a choice.
