1968 — After the Capture of PH

In 1968, during the Nig Civil War, Benjamin Adekunle, popularly known as the “Black Scorpion,” is seen drinking from his helmet alongside his troops following the capture of PH. At the time, he was Commander of the Third Marine Commando Division of the Nig Army.
Standing to his left in the image is his Chief of Staff, Godwin Alabi-Isama, who later became a Brig Gen. Also present are several notable officers and soldiers who played roles in the campaign:
