EFCC Deploys Operatives to Monitor FCT Council Polls, Targets Vote Buying

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has deployed its operatives across the six local government areas in the Federal Capital Territory to monitor the February 21, 2026 council polls.

According to a statement on its verified social media handle, EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede directed officers to maintain strict surveillance and prevent vote buying and other electoral malpractices.
