FG Denies Plans for Mandatory Military Service for Youths

The Federal Government has dismissed reports suggesting it plans to introduce compulsory military service for young Nigerians.

Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Musa (retd), described the claims as false, stressing that Nigeria remains committed to maintaining a professional, volunteer armed forces supported by civic national service programmes.
