Prayer is born out of righteousness consciousness.
Sin-consciousness cannot pray.
It is paralyzed by guilt.
It feels unworthy.
It tries to confess quickly before God “catches” it.
But we are not criminals sneaking into a courtroom.
We are God’s children.
Members of His household.
We don’t approach Him with a sense of unfitness.
We don’t pray to become worthy.
We pray because we belong.
Righteousness gives boldness.
Sonship gives confidence.
Love casts out fear.
We are home.
