Grey’s Anatomy” Star Eric Dane Dies at 53 After ALS Battle

Actor Eric Dane, best known for his role as a plastic surgeon on Grey’s Anatomy, has died at age 53, US media reported Thursday.

Dane had publicly shared his diagnosis with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) last year. His family said in a statement, “With heavy hearts, we share that Eric Dane passed Thursday afternoon following a courageous battle with ALS.”
