I am a nurse, and I see it too often — high blood pressure that goes unnoticed or untreated quietly destroying kidneys. In Nigeria, especially among Igbo men, hypertension is common and often ignored until complications appear. When blood pressure stays high, it damages the tiny blood vessels in the kidneys. Over time, this can lead to chronic kidney disease and eventually kidney failure.
