As Pres. Tinubu signed Electoral Act 2026, 7 changes:
1. Voter registration requirements: birth certificate, Nigerian passport and NIN
2. ⁠Voter card is Downloadable
3. Compulsory Electronic transmission to IReV, if it fails, EC8A will be used
4. ⁠Direct primaries and consensus for political parties to nominate candidates
5. INEC Election funds in 6 months prior to election
6. Deadline for submission of candidates’ list: 120 days
7. INEC’s final list of candidates; 60 days
