WHEN ECONOMIC REALITY IS DENIED
It is concerning to hear claims that food is “very cheap” in Nigeria while inflation remains around 15%. At this level, inflation reduces purchasing power, erodes savings, and places severe pressure on low- and middle-income households.
For many Nigerians struggling daily to afford basic necessities, such statements do not reflect economic reality. This disconnect raises important questions about leadership and accountability.
