Today marks 3 years since I left the shores of Nigeria.
Not because I wanted to leave, but because I had to.
Because there were dreams to pursue. A future to fight for.
Those dreams haven’t fully come to fruition yet.
But I’m alive.
Alive in a place where I’m not afraid of being shot by bandits or killed by terrorists at any moment.
Alive where healthcare works, roads make sense, and safety isn’t a daily prayer point.
Am I happier than I was on my home soil?
Honestly… no.
But I am safer.
