He spent eight full years in office, and by the end of it, Nigeria was poorer, more divided, more insecure, and more hopeless than when he met it. So catastrophic was that failure that his own party, the same people who marketed him, campaigned for him, and benefited from his government, are today blaming him. Even the current administration has openly distanced itself from his eight wasted years.
Now, history is repeating itself.
