South African Refugees Struggle in the U.S.
Some South Africans, mainly Afrikaners, arrived in the U.S. under a special programme citing persecution. While U.S. refugee services were supposed to provide housing, work support, and benefits, many report struggling financially, with aid slow or inadequate.
