This is genuinely an exciting moment for Nigeria and Nigerians. The Senate’s approval of electronic transmission of votes is a big step toward improving the credibility and transparency of our elections.

That said, I strongly support the hybrid approach for now, electronic transmission with a manual fallback. Given the reality of Nigeria’s infrastructure, unreliable networks, a purely digital system would be risky at this stage.

Truly exciting times ahead for Nigeria’s democracy.
