Mr Mild, I'm the boss. Do I need to listen to my staff or be friendly with them? Won't that bring disrespect?
My honest take: listening doesn't reduce authority, it strengthens it. You don't lose respect by being open; you lose it when people feel unheard. Boundaries still matter, but humility builds trust.
The best leaders aren't the loudest they're the ones who know when to listen.
