Recent videos and public reports show migrants and people of colour facing hostility in parts of the US and UK. At the same time, immigration debates there have become more restrictive. These realities raise valid questions about belonging and dignity. Africa has challenges, but it is home. Building where identity is understood may offer more stability than seeking acceptance where it remains uncertain.
