Did he ever stop to consider that as a young emerging adult, I may possibly have other exciting plans for myself, which may or not be involved with sleeping in until noon?
Of course not.
Did he want me to follow in his footsteps?
Probably yes.
Did he believe I was becoming the impossible child with too much free time on my hands, hence needing a purposeful direction in an organized place of work?
Absolutely!
Did he think I was a coconut head?
Hopefully not.
