The first time I saw an advert for the LekeeLekee app on Arise TV, my mind instantly flashed back to my childhood days in Lagos, Nigeria. Back then, whenever we spotted a group of Cattle Egret birds, we would excitedly sing a memorable song: ‘Leke leke, give me fine fine finger.’ Seeing the name again brought back those nostalgic moments, and I couldn’t help but wonder what inspired the creators of the app to choose that particular name.
