Rich in Oil Poor in Power:
Nigeria is one of the world’s major oil‑producing nations, yet millions of Nigerians still live in energy poverty. It’s a painful contradiction: a country rich in crude oil but unable to provide stable electricity, affordable fuel, or reliable power infrastructure for its own people.
Energy poverty in Nigeria isn’t about lack of resources — it’s about how those resources are managed, processed, and distributed. Crude oil is exported, but the country lacks power.
